Apply to JobJob ID245185BRPosition TitleRWE ScientistJob DescriptionIn this role you provide methodological and analytical expertise, contribute to strategic utilization of real world evidence (RWE); and provide leadership of all internal observational database analyses for the Global franchise teams that drive the evidence development strategy.



Your major accountabilities:

•Serve as franchise level analytical expert on all real world outcomes research methods and analytic projects.

•Act as single point of contact for Outcomes Evidence and Analytics (OEA) to the Franchise RWE program leads

•Provide consultation on analytical issues faced by the Franchise program leads as it relates to non-interventional study design.

•Ensure rigorous and externally credible research methods are utilized across franchises.

•Oversee the execution of all analyses completed by the Observational Database Analytics team as part of Novartis Business Services. •Provide advice on available real world data sources to answer specific research questions

•Contribute to the development of real world evidence plans in close collaboration with Franchise program leads.

•Provide critical scientific review of all RWE research projects and analyses done within franchise teams.

•Interpret findings from non-interventional data analytic projects, and communicate key insights and messages to internal cross-functional teams

•Effectively communicate research findings externally and internally.

•Contribute to the continuing education of NVS associates on relevant RWE methodology.

•Provide critical scientific review of all Franchise specific RWE study concepts and protocols via participation on Integrated Scientific Review Board and NIS Protocol Review Forum.Minimum requirements•Undergraduate degree in a relevant scientific discipline plus graduate degree (doctorate degree preferred) in relevant discipline including health economics, epidemiology, health services research

•≥5 years conducting RWE research for pharmaceutical products in the pharma industry, contract research organization, or academic institute; or experience in a closely related discipline within the pharma industry (e.g., clinical research, statistics, epidemiology, pricing)

•Demonstrated prior research accomplishment (e.g, publications)

•Experience working with and/or working knowledge of observational data sources

•Expert technical knowledge in HE&OR study methods from the areas of statistics, epidemiology, and/or modeling.

•Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation skills, and project and time management skills are essential.

•Ability to work in a matrix environment with cross-functional teams.

•Strong working knowledge of the organization of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access).

•Ability to work and prioritize independently
