SDIP STRATEGIC AND COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST(One-year contract) The World Economic Forum, committed to improving the state of the world, is the International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation. The Forum engages the foremost political, business and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas. 
Why we are recruiting The Sustainable Development Investment Partnership (SDIP), an initiative under the Forum’s Centre for Global Public Goods, is a coalition of 41 public and private entities with ambitions to mobilize blended finance to scale sustainable investments in developing countries. 
Reporting lines and interaction As the SDIP Strategic and Communications Specialist, you will support a small, motivated team based in Geneva to promote public-private financing approaches to address global development finance challenges at scale. You will help shape the development of the SDIP strategy and communications, manage the curation of content and documentation to support SDIP activities, coordinate communications with member institutions and partners, and help establish knowledge sharing activities. 
Main responsibilities • Oversee communications with internal and external stakeholders, including facilitating member/partner engagement with the SDIP• Work with the SDIP team to establish a communications plan and articulate strategic initiatives, capturing key concepts for internal and external presentation• Formulate and implement a workplan to position the SDIP as a platform for knowledge sharing on best practices related to private sector financing in developing countries• Collaborate with SDIP members to generate content in advancement of SDIP objectives, including the development of related case studies• Prepare written materials on development finance/blended finance and the role of private capital to be published through digital platforms, traditional media and distributed at events, including the SDIP Annual Report• Assist in the programming and delivery of SDIP and Forum events to ensure strategic objectives are captured and advanced• Support the SDIP team in delivering on thematic and regional oriented workstreams 
Preferred requirements and experience • Bachelor’s degree in a field related to communications, public relations, international relations, finance, or strategy consulting• Experience in synthesizing and presenting complex issues in readily understandable formats; previous communications experience a plus• Possess strong command of PowerPoint and developing/presenting slide presentations• Solid understanding of investing concepts with an interest in emerging market finance• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; familiarity with French would be an advantage• Outstanding organization, project and time management skills• Quick learner, self-starting, flexible and service-oriented team player• Willing to work in a highly demanding environment and able to juggle multiple priorities
