Job description and responsibilities:

The successful candidate will work as a “Reporting Specialist” at Equatex and will strengthen our small IT Data Analytics team catering to the reporting and data analytics needs of internal stakeholders from all domains of our business.

Key tasks of this diverse and challenging role include:

• Provide customised data reporting services based on Oracle/SQL, QlikView and Business Objects to a top-tier client. Provide client with recurring and ad-hoc reports


• Analyse business reporting needs and requirements of internal stakeholders, liaise with knowledge contributors and document results


• Translate business requirements and processes into implementation designs for reports or dashboards. Select appropriate path of deployment


• Implement reports and dashboards and manage stakeholders for review-feedback sessions through iterative development process


• Contribute to establish an architecture and best practices around our Business Intelligence solution


• Close co-operation with other IT teams to ensure timely and accurate implementation of business requirements (DBAs, infrastructure)


• Ensure timely delivery to internal and external business stakeholders

Qualifications, skills & knowledge:

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, information technology, statistics, mathematics, analytics, related field or combination of education and experience in data technology, ideally with a financial background


• Solid understanding of relational data models and data structures


• Developing SQL queries (Oracle experience is a plus), creating content with a BI tool (e.g. QlikView, Business Objects or prevero)


• Ability to work with accuracy under tight deadlines


• Ability to organise and manage stakeholders


• Strong analytical skills and quick understanding of complex procedures and processes


• Self-driven and proactive in building knowledge and expertise


• Strong interpersonal skills and professional approach to interact with various stakeholders 


• Fluent English language skills (written, spoken) are a pre-requisite. German is an advantage
