To support our Content Department within the FIFA Commercial TV Division, FIFA is looking to recruit an experienced person with the ability to work in cross-divisional teams as a:
Picture Researcher
Your duties


  • Responsible for maintaining and operating an efficient, user-friendly FIFA Archive

  • Building extensive knowledge of the FIFA Archive

  • Ensure sourcing, compilation and delivery of media to FIFA stakeholders in a timely manner

  • Overseeing metadata in general and its use in the FIFA archive

  • Suggesting and locating supporting archive to complement features and stories

  • Ensuring the FIFA archive is logged correctly and providing assistance to any logging/data projects

Our requirements


  • University degree in a relevant area or equal further education in the broadcast environment

  • Several years’ experience in working with Audio Visual Archive systems

  • Good knowledge of TV/Broadcast standards

  • Familiar with technical topics within audio-visual such as video formats and qualities, codecs, bit rates, frame rates and with delivering content to required specifications

  • Good understanding of search functionality, metadata & logs

  • Practical understanding of editing software

  • General knowledge of copyright and related rights in general

  • Good knowledge of football in general and FIFA World Cup in particular

  • Fluent in English, other languages are an advantage
