We are seeking to recruit a Senior Audit Manager with ambition and high potential in order to complete our audit team in Zurich and perform product-line and functional audits



  • We offer you an exciting and global environment to work with the Data Analytics team within Internal Audit (IA), to apply your technical skills to help analyse large data sets and databases to support the IA team to lead and perform data analytics

  • Collaborate with the data owners to ensure that the data sourced/used follows the compliance, access management, bank’s control policies, and that it meets the qualification and assurance requirements of the department

  • Apply and build data analytics tests based on walkthroughs with the audit team, including assembling requirements as well as performing the necessary analytics

  • Apply conceptual thinking through synthesis of facts, theories, trends, inferences, and key issues and/or themes in complex and variable situations, to solve a diverse range of business problems

  • Diagnose problems from multiple angles, using formal problem-solving tools and techniques

  • Seek out opportunities to improve, streamline, reinvent work processes through data driven solutions. In addition, explore and evaluate numerous potential solutions, maintaining balance between innovation and pragmatism when determining the best approach

  • Demonstrate personal commitment to change through actions and words, and mobilize others to support change through times of stress and uncertainty

  • Display your good communication through conversing with, writing strategic documents and creating/delivering presentations to internal and external stakeholders

  • Consistently foster collaboration and respect among team members by addressing elements of the group process that impedes, or could impede the group from reaching its goal

  • Educate the organization both from data and analytics perspectives on new industry/technology approaches and developments, such as testing hypotheses and statistical validation of results

  • Proactively engage Internal Audit team to find opportunities to leverage technology and analytics in connection with risk assessment and audit execution processes

  • The role is open to flexible/agile working arrangements


 


 


You Offer

 

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance or another quantitative field. Master degree preferred

  • Relevant experience in consulting or the finance/banking industry, with 8 or more years of relevant quantitative and qualitative data and analytics experience

  • Proficiency in statistical analysis, quantitative analytics, forecasting/predictive analytics, multivariate testing, and optimization algorithms

  • Strong SQL and proven data analytics skills including: mining data, interpreting results, working with statistics, trends, etc.

  • Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages such as R and Python; knowledge of Java, JavaScript, C/C++ will be an added bonus

  • Experience in using data visualisation products and technologies (e.g. Tableau)

  • Experience with ETL technologies such as MS SSIS or any relevant ETL tools

  • Strong problem solving skills with a positive personality and can-do attitude

  • Very good verbal and written level of German and English languages with the ability to effectively communicate with partners

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to articulate complex concepts in a concise manner in both written and verbal presentations across all levels of management

  • Understanding of the importance of handling risk and quality on data projects

  • Expert knowledge of good data management practice and relevant regulations (e.g. BCBS239) is a plus.

  • Experience in leading teams, and a drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
