As Global Category Manager Active Ingredients Sourcing (f/m) you will be part of the DSM Nutritional Products (DNP) Purchasing Team and support the business with sustainable and cost-effective supply solutions by developing and executing purchasing projects and contracts. Based in Kaiseraugst close to Basel, Switzerland, you will be expected to travel regularly to the global sites.


 


The Challenge:


 



  • Develop and implement Purchasing strategies for the respective categories in order to deliver maximum value

  • Initiate and implement strategic sourcing initiatives including market analysis, tender process, negotiations, contracting and implementation

  • Define and coordinate cross-functional teams

  • Manage relationship with internal customers

  • Develop and manage relationship with key suppliers and track their performance

  • Ensure use of strategic sourcing methodology and best practices

  • Manage collaboration, knowledge sharing and proper communication within regional and global Purchasing organization


 


The Ideal:


 



  • Advanced university qualifications, preferably in business administration or other relevant discipline

  • 5 - 7 years of professional experience in Purchasing

  • In-depth knowledge of Purchasing, relevant markets and contracting

  • Reliable and result-oriented personality with good analytical and social skills

  • Able to work in a multi-cultural matrix organization

  • Highly developed communication and cooperation skills

  • Fluent in English, French or German would be an additional asset
