Head IT Application Development & Management
In this position, you will be reporting into the Chief Technology Officer and you will play a vital role in enabling the global implementation of our elipsLife IT application landscape in order to support our unique target operating model.
Your tasks
In this challenging role you and your key stakeholders within IT and the business will be contributing to the overall enterprise technology strategy. Collaboratively you will be providing technical vision and leadership to successfully integrate, develop and implement business enabling applications and services in order to enhance internal and external customer experience as well as constantly improve quality and cost of delivery. In that role you will also be an IT business consultant toward the business who understand not only the data object model and architecture but also their needs. You will establish and maintain strong, strategic partnership with vendors and service suppliers. Your responsibilities include the creation of a strong agile development environment and long-term strategy for overall systems and software development life cycle including security and cyber defense aspects.
Your profile
We are looking for a strong leader with change management abilities and an entrepreneurial mind-set in order to build and further develop a team of senior software development professionals. You demonstrate critical thinking, translate global strategic planning into specific objectives and you have a proven track record in defining, building, and releasing software-based offerings that drive customer ROI. As a successful candidate, you have 10+ years of work experience with modern technology stacks including cloud models and service-oriented architecture design like API management and micro services that you gained in a global environment, ideally within the Insurance Industry. You hold a University degree in IT or Computer Science or an equivalent work experience. Fluency in German and English is a must. You are a strong business enabler and have the skills of communicating complex, technical topics to a wide audience. Furthermore, your capability of adapting to rapidly changing conditions and priorities completes your profile.
