Duties and Responsibilities

 

• Monthly close-the-books activities, including but not limited to: Revenue(GTN), Expense accrual/ prepayment, Payroll accounting, accounts reconciliation


• Responsible for multiple legal entities’ books, ensuring compliance with US GAAP standards and internal policies/processes


• Perform annual translation of financial statements from US GAAP to local statutory / local tax requirements for all assigned legal entities and ensure timely compliance of statutory deadlines


• VAT compliance for assigned entities


• Collaboration with Accounts Payable and supported affiliates to ensure correct accounting treatment of transactions


• Primary contact for internal and external audits


• Assist in the development and implementation of International accounting and SOX policies/processes

Technical Skills

• 3-5 years of general accounting experience ideally in an International environment with exposure to VAT and statutory accounting


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel and Outlook); ERP systems (Oracle preferred)

Education

• Commercial degree (e.g. CFC d’employé de commerce or Maturité commerciale)


• Accounting degree (e.g. Swiss certified Specialist for Finance and Accounting / Spécialiste en finance et comptabilité avec brevet dédéral) or similar degree is an asset


• Proficiency in business English (both spoken and written). Another European language is a plus
