A normal day some months in the future...

My name is Luca, I’m one of your coworkers in one of our teams in Zurich. Before you joined Doodle, I sometimes had to wait a long time before my Jenkins jobs were executed, we didn’t have a very stable Jenkins before you optimised it, now I can actually experiment more often because I know that my jobs will run quickly. Because of that I recently managed to create a proof of concept very quickly, the whole team was impressed by it, even the CPO! That was  possible only after you joined us.

Also, I was paired up with a new Doodler recently, to help onboarding him, and he mentioned how impressed he was that everything was ready for him when he joined Doodle. I remember when I joined, my accounts on Slack and Github hadn’t been created, even my computer hadn’t arrived! Everyone is really happy that the onboard process is so smooth now! I’m proud of the way we welcome new people to the team.

Who we are 

Doodle is the world’s favorite online scheduling tool, currently with 28 million monthly users. We are growing at a very fast pace, and strive to be the go-to platform for whenever business people manage their calendars and meetings. Our team of 40 passionate engineers, designers, product managers, marketers and salespeople in Belgrade, Berlin, Tel Aviv and Zurich is waiting for you.

You will

• Maintain our core internal services up-to-date, i.e. Jenkins, Nexus, Kibana


• Order and set-up new hardware as required


• Set-up user accounts across the systems we use, i.e. Slack, G Suite


• Support internal users with their IT requests, i.e. troubleshooting printer issues


• Work closely with the DevOps team in supporting the other engineers at Doodle


• Optimise current internal services infrastructure


• Write documentation such as detailing problems, procedures and resolutions

What technologies we use

• AWS, GCP


• Ansible


• Kubernetes, Kops, Helm Charts


• Kibana, Logstash, ElasticSearch


• G Suite, Slack, Notion


• Jenkins, Nexus


• Kafka, AirFlow


• Golang

What we expect from you

• We are looking for someone that is happy to help their colleagues


• A can-do attitude, we work at scale, sometimes out-of-the-box solutions won’t work


• Willingness to learn from the DevOps engineers


• Basic understanding of networking concepts


• Experience with managing managing user accounts and user groups


• Experience with setting-up hardware and onboarding users


• Some experience with scripting and automation


• Knowledge of Linux/MacOS administration

Not required, but big pluses:

• Familiarity with cloud computing such as AWS, GPC or Azure


• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Salt, Terraform or Puppet
