Senior Controller, eCommerce Centre of Excellence

Referenznummer: R-20648An attractive work place at your Consumer Goods Business (CGB) and Finance and Administration (F&A) Headquarters with about 500 employees. As a Senior Controller, you will act as a strong business partner to the SVP eCommerce Center of Excellence and her team, supporting and challenging financial decisions as well as leading performance management and facilitating financial goal setting. In this position, you will report directly to the Director, CGB Functional Controlling.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Your main duties will be the following:

• Ensure financial transparency of eCommerce financial performance, through ongoing development of a consolidated P&L for the channel, both for Actuals and Planning.


• Perform monthly business and financial reviews with the eCommerce Center of Excellence and other stakeholders, including identification of value drivers, issues and opportunities.


• Perform financial analysis and develop business cases for eCommerce, factoring in different drivers such as countries, products, pricing, promotions and traffic sources.


• Define and deliver monthly KPI reporting, both financial and operational, for the overall eCommerce business as well as dedicated eCommerce legal entities.


• Lead and coordinate the planning processes for the global eCommerce Center of Excellence, for both the centrally based legal entities and the legal entities based in the markets


• Identify and transition standard reporting and analysis to the Global Business Services Hub


• Collaborate with other subject matter experts in Functional Controlling to ensure insightful and accurate reporting, analysis and planning of the main P&L drivers e.g. discounts, logistics, transportation online advertising, IT and customer service.


• Co-ordinate the controlling of global eCommerce Projects and overhead costs, leveraging support from Global Business Services


• Lead cost controlling for the dedicated eCommerce legal entities, ensuring proper accrual of relevant costs


• Identify and track cost reductions opportunities across the eCommerce P&L


• Generate benchmarking and market share analysis (e.g. financial / cost benchmarking) relating to eCommerce CoE


• Serve as main point of contact for local CGB Management (Market Clusters) for specific online reporting and questions

WHAT WE EXPECT

A motivated, assertive talent, who brings along the following background:

• Master’s degree in economics, business administration, business accounting, finance or a certified public accountant degree


• 5-8 years of professional experience, ideally in a major multinational company from the FMCG, luxury/fashion retailing or in consulting        


• Analytical skills and Financial Modelling skills,


• P&L Management experience as well as strong business and commercial acumen


• A proven track record in business partnering, problem solving, decision support


• Ability to be assertive, constructively challenge and influencing senior stakeholders


• Clear communication skills, including the ability to boil down complex issues into simple messages and recommendations


• Ability to work in a matrix organization


• Fluent communications skills in English, both written and oral


• Experience working with SAP and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
