The project consists in the development of catalysts for the conversion of methane to fuels in collaboration with a major industrial partner. The project will require the design, the synthesis and the detailed characterization of tailored molecular precursors and materials with the goal to generate solid catalysts for the conversion of methane. More information will be provided upon interest/request. In addition, the PhD student will be expected to teach inorganic chemistry at the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry as part of his PhD studies.
You have a master degree in Chemistry or equivalent with a good knowledge of inorganic chemistry and catalysis with experience in molecular chemistry as well as classical characterization methods. Knowledge of material science and advanced characterization methods are welcome.
