ANYbotics AG is an ETH Zurich spin-off developing new solutions for mobile robots. Optimized electric drive joints enable our quadruped robot to run, climb, and move in challenging terrain while state-of-the-art perception sensors provide the ability to autonomously navigate and inspect environments such as industrial sites, power plants, and subterranean systems.Mechanical Design Engineer (100%)
You are an experienced mechanical engineer with an engaged personality used to work proactively and with precision. You want to join our young development team to design advanced electric drives, sensory payloads and walking robots with a responsibility for the mechanical development of components, assemblies and robotic systems.

You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and several years of industrial experience with proven practical knowledge in product development and its processes, strong competence in 3D-CAD (ideally Siemens NX), and experience with FEA tools for static and dynamic structural analysis. You are experienced in the design of metal, plastic and fiber reinforced material components, and familiar with assembly processes and simple machining. Your profile is ideally complemented with some knowledge in design of electric motor-gearbox combinations, and you are fluent in German and/or English.

Your main tasks will be to conceptually design and implement technical solutions for our walking robot and joint actuators, to perform engineering calculations both by hand and FEA to prove design feasibility, and to build and test prototypes, specialized equipment and final products. You will cooperate with the different development teams on specifications and work, and negotiate with suppliers and manufacturers.
