What's the role?


You'll work together with Software, Mechanical and Electronics engineers from the Measuring Systems Development Group to bring innovative new technologies to the market in Hilti’s next generation Rotating LASER Systems.


Start date is flexible to the student's availability (Q1 2019), duration for at least 6 months.

What does the role involve?


As an intern in our development team your work will involve the development and testing of optical and mechatronic measuring systems. You'll work closely with our experts on a key component of Hilti’s next generation Levelling & Aligning System.


Your key responsibilities will be algorithm development and data analysis in Matlab as well as continuous integration concept and test automation with Python, Matlab, Jenkins, Isystem. You'll also work on system tests specification and implementation and verification and improvement of high accuracy testing methods.

What you need is:



  • Bachelor’s degree in electronic or software engineering (or equivalent)

  • Programming experience in C/C++, Matlab, (Jenkins, Python)

  • Independent and proactive. Excited by solving complex multidisciplinary tasks in mechatronic systems

  • Algorithmic problem solving and analytical skills

  • Basic electronics laboratory experience

  • Language: fluent in English
