Winterthur Gas & Diesel Ltd. is looking for a


Development Engineer


Responsibilities



  • Development of methodologies to asses heat transfer throughout the combustion chamber in collaboration with performance group and combustion chamber group.

  • 1-D simulation of hydraulic components

  • Involvement in all the activities of the group of Fuel Injection and Hydraulics (FI&H)

  • Support prototype testing activities for validation purposes, design plus occasional "hand-on" work on test rig

  • Keep documentation up to date


Requirements



  • MSc, BSc or Dipl.-Ing. Mechanical engineer

  • 5+ Year proven experience in CFD simulation, preferably using CONVERGE CFD

  • Knowledge of Conjugate Heat Transfer and diesel combustion suitable

  • Strong knowledge of thermodynamics related to engines.

  • Knowledge of 1D simulation software like AMESim, GT-Suite in time and frequency domain

  • Experience in FEM calculation as nonlinear contact problem

  • Good Matlab knowledge to post process gathered data

  • Experience in setting up lab testing suitable

  • Production knowledge of hydraulic components

  • Team player, yet able to work independently

  • Working in multicultural environment

  • Good command of English and German
