Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:



  • Draft guidance documents regarding the processing of personal data

  • Draft and negotiate contracts with data privacy implications

  • Assess IT solutions and digital initiatives from a data privacy perspective

  • Advise on marketing and sales related privacy questions

  • Participate in Privacy Impact Assessments

  • Support the training and awareness exercises and initiatives

  • Draft Data Processing Agreements and Model Contracts for International Transfers of Personal Data

  • Draft and review privacy notices and informed consent forms

  • Provide support and advice to central departments and affiliates on data privacy matters

  • Monitor changes in legislation and send alerts to the law department and relevant stakeholders


Skills/Knowledge Required:



  • Law degree

  • Strong privacy and data protection background and knowledge of the key European Data Privacy/Protection Regulations

  • Experience as an IT and data protection lawyer.  Pharma experience desirable

  • Experience in conducting Privacy Impact Assessments on operations of an organization

  • Ability to work in an international, multicultural and dynamic business environment

  • Interpersonal skills to work as a team-player and to effectively work with people of diverse rank and culture across a variety of business disciplines

  • Ability to quickly grasp business objectives, prioritize and organize work and handle multiple matters simultaneously.

  • A strong service orientation and positive “can-do” attitude.

  • Strong verbal and communication skills

  • Excellent English language skills absolutely required, additional languages are advantageous

  • Ability to work autonomously and to develop effective business relationships with all areas of the organization
