Responsibilities include:



  • Driving and managing the pricing and market access offering for Worldwide Markets to support the uptake of MM products in current and future indications in MM

  • Supporting the country access leads on business cases for managing the access situation

  • Identification of payer needs (unmet medical need, suitable comparators and competitive space) and development of tools and support to answer these needs and manage the local P&MA success for MM franchise

  • Effectively communicate throughout the Global organization of the P&MA strategies for driving access to patients

  • Developing plan to address identified gaps through studies, publications, messaging and influencing.

  • Integrating the products in Celgene MM portfolio specific value story in country reimbursement strategies and steering of the development of the product value repository (Health Economic model, value story, Value Selling toolkit).

  • Collaborate with MM G3M teams on developing Global price strategy aligned with our MM portfolio strategy and ensure optimal implementation throughout Worlwide Markets

  • Collaborate with HEOR team to develop initiatives to strengthen the value proposition of the products in Celgene MM portfolio

  • Collaborate with Corporate Affairs in design and execution on strategies and tactics concerning pricing, and payer relations


Skills/Knowledge Required:



  • Has an in-depth understanding of payers and their perspective in the key Worldwide markets, as well as trends in Pricing & Reimbursement and Health Economics.

  • Has an established network of payer contacts (pricing, reimbursement, policy, insurance) and KOLs.

  • Has competitive intelligence, identifies early opportunities and threats in the market and creates solutions to benefit from opportunities and to disarm threats.

  • Ability to work at different levels of the organization and to liaise with Country Managers and Market Access leads

  • Broad, high-level understanding of product value across indications

  • Identifies key product advantages in the context of market requirements and provides key ideas for developing individual value stories around Celgene’s products.

  • Develops a clear understanding of the company’s financial goals, with a clear ability to prioritize, setting up timelines on an international level.


Competencies Required:



  • Academic degree in Economics or Pharmacy preferred.

  • Displays excellent business English skills, other European Languages an advantage.

  • Preferably has multi-year experience with regular authorities, governmental economists and reimbursement agencies, hospital administrators and health care insurance companies’ general management, acquired at pharmaceutical companies, sickness funds, physician associations or health care consultancy companies.

  • As a representative to key constituents, good social / economic skills and a representative appearance is essential.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex or technical content in a convincing way to internal and external stakeholders

  • Has the ability to influence and persuade multiple stakeholders.

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with high emotional intelligence. Excellent listener; inclusive, seeks broad input and feedback; frequent and effective feedback/follow-up

  • Is experienced and adept at navigating international, multi-lingual, and cross-functional organizational matrices within a diverse and cross-cultural work environment

  • Ability to build strong credibility and trusted relationships at all level of the organization with a specific focus on affiliates and global teams, to effectively interact with them, providing direction, challenge and support whenever relevant.

  • Is a flexible team member with a positive attitude and the ability to prioritize projects.

  • Has the ability to influence and persuade external parties.


Performance measurement:



  • Timeliness, accuracy, completeness and quality of work stream milestones, accomplishment of financial company targets and maintenance of a European-wide established price level.
