What's the role?


Take the Lead on our Materials and Manufacturing Technologies to develop and implement new Heat Treatment technologies. You will be responsible for coordination and management of testing activities, assisting in the laboratory testing and developing novel solutions for heat treatment of steel materials in our Innovations Center.


Start date is flexible to the student's availability, duration for 4-6 Months

What does the role involve?


As intern in our department you’ll be part of the Materials and Manufacturing Technologies team. You’ll work closely with our experts to develop and learn new heat treatment technologies and related testing procedures. You will have close cooperation with our Plants for learning production procedures and applying testing activities.
We have a top-notch team of experts available to support you every step of the way.


Your key responsibilities will be coordination and management of heat treatment testing activities, material preparation and related procedures.
You will have the chance to provide innovative solutions to new concepts and drive the technologies of the future.


Moreover, you will have close cooperation with main industrial and research partners for top-notch heat treatment technologies, and the opportunity to learn and participate in our products testing and validation.

We have 400 of the world’s best engineers developing and testing tomorrow’s technical solutions in our innovation center in Liechtenstein.

What you need is:



  • Master or Bachelor student in mechanical engineering, materials sciences, or similar

  • Basic laboratory experience with materials testing is preferred

  • Affinity to conceptional work and creativity in finding solutions

  • A proactive approach and self-reliant personality

  • Enthusiasm to learn and drive to succeed

  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English and ideally another language
