Duties within PMNCH's workstreams as delineated in the 2018-2020 Business Plan:
- Provide specialist technical support for the planning and implementation of advocacy, analysis, accountability and partner-engagement activities in 2018-2019 supporting three of the six EWEC focus areas: Early Childhood Development (ECD), Quality, Equity, Dignity (QED), Adolescents Health and Well-being (AH), Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), Empowerment of Women, Girls and Communities (Empowerment), and Humanitarian and Fragile Settings (HFS). Outputs include network development and partner engagement; advocacy toolkit; message development; coordination of campaigns and accountability-related processes/products; advocacy event coordination; and production of digital and print information products (e.g., reports, e-blast and web text, etc.);
- Coordinate the partner-led social-political accountability deliverables as delineated in the PMNCH 2018-2019 work plan;
- Contribute to the general development and implementation of PMNCH 2018-2019 work plan deliverables as needed. This includes, through information-gathering, evidence scanning; research support; development of request for proposals; and identification of consultants and experts to deliver on agreed deliverables;
- Act as an information focal point for PMNCH advocacy and communications related to three of the six EWEC focus areas: ECD, QED, AH, SRHR, Empowerment and HFS (e.g., oral briefings, web text, blogs, donor reports, annual reports, etc.);
- Liaise closely with constituencies and partners to establish and disseminate reports on evidences and best practices, campaigns and related events. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Essential:
-Good knowledge of Sexual, Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health (SRMNCAH) issues, including the areas of focus: ECD, QED and Empowerment;
- Demonstrated understanding of policy trends and current context for implementation of commitments to the Global Strategy for Women's, Children's and Adolescent's Health and 2030 SDG Agenda;
- D emonstrated ability to plan, manage, coordinate and monitor global health partnership platforms relevant to SRMNCAH;
- Proven written and oral communication skills with ability to express in a clear and concise manner and provide concrete technical and other advisory support; - Excellent writing and editing skills in English;
- Strong political acumen, sound judgment, tact and diplomacy, discretion and courtesy;
- Ability to develop innovative approaches and solutions;
- Ability to conduct research and analyze results, identify issues, formulate opinion, make conclusions and recommendations in related aspects of work.
