Role Summary:

The Plant Manager f/m has full manufacturing /production responsibilities. Inclusive to daily production output, material planning, product cost, productivity, quality, customer fulfillment and environmental and safety for the site. The Site Leader f/m is responsible for developing a vision for the manufacturing operations for our cell therapy equipment and solutions business and around GE Healthcare imperatives.



Essential Responsibilities:
The incumbent f/m should be able to influence and communicate well with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership and act as a business partner in the leadership team to enable significant business growth. An in-depth knowledge of working within the rigors of Medical Device manufacturing is preferred, along with strong project management & skills as the business will grow significantly in the coming years. With the potential of adding new and diverse production lines and a facility expansion that must all be achieved while protecting the existing production. The incumbent will be expected to be comfortable working in a matrix structure and mentor the site personnel to become a high performance results oriented team.



Key Responsibilities include:



  • Driving manufacturing team towards execution of Business Goals using Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodology

  • Ensuring sufficient capacity exists to achieve all customer commitments per the OPSI plan

  • Driving Product Quality, Six Sigma, Lean and e-Manufacturing so that internal business metrics are met

  • Improving SPAN and other customer metrics

    Qualifications/Requirements:


    • BS Degree in Engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience

    • Strong experience with proven leadership in leading a manufacturing site

    • Ability to successfully motivate and maintain high moral, employee involvement, safety and teamwork in an union environment

    • Six Sigma trained with demonstrated ability to apply tools and process rigor

    • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in an ambiguous environment

    • External and Business Focus: Understanding customer needs, marketplace dynamics, industry trends, & the competitive landscape in the industry/function & considering the external impact of business activities & decisions on the external environment

    • Fluency in French and English
