Description

Principal accountabilities: 



  • To operate Back Office Operations systems. To validate the accuracy of the trade’s input.

  • To keep abreast of developments in standards and settlement financial world

  • To participate in IT projects and testing and audits.

  • To ensure conformity with the rules set by compliance or Internal Audit

Ability to cover a variety of operations tasks including:



  • Validation and confirmation of all the Bank’s trades

  • Resolution of exceptions in the straight-through processing for all non-standard and complex operations for bonds, money market, FX and derivatives instruments.

  • Investigate and resolve confirmation mismatches and settlement failures together with front office, custodians and customers.

  • Ensures accuracy and timeliness of confirmations, settlements and payments.

  • Deal and settlement instructions maintenance.

  • Creation/checking/maintenance of bond definitions in trading system.

Qualification: 



  • Banking diploma or equivalent.

Skills: 



  • Good knowledge of Banking instruments, market practice and new initiatives in the Banking industry.

  • Flexible to cope with variety of tasks, cooperative, good team player.

  • Good organisational skills.

  • Customer-focused

  • Ability to cope with pressure and tight deadlines.

  • Familiarity with Swift messaging formats

  • Knowledge of Bloomberg information systems.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and promptly.   

  • Fluency in English required. Knowledge of German, Italian or French desirable.

Work experience: 



  • Minimum of two year’s work experience, preferably in Banking operations.

All new staff members are recruited on a fixed-term basis without expectation either of any contract renewal or conversion. The contract may however be extended or converted to an open-ended one at the end of the term, subject to organisational needs and individual performance.
