What's the role?


At Corporate Development, your role will be to support one of Hilti’s key strategic initiatives. This means developing, detailing and/or supporting implementation of a piece of our strategy, working closely with key decision makers in the company and helping shape the future of Hilti.


Start date ideally in the first half of 2019 and duration dependent on availability of the student

What does the role involve?


As intern in our department you’ll be part of a small high-profile strategic team that deals directly with the company strategy. You’ll work closely with our experts to develop a selected workstream of one of our strategic projects.


Your key responsibilities will be to engage in the different steps of a strategic project, which includes gathering information, performing quantitative and qualitative analysis and articulating clear recommendations.
You will create models to support your thinking, test hypothesis, craft presentations and articulate your conclusions. You will also help structure the most important strategic discussions and meetings in the company. You will report directly to a Senior Project Manager from Corporate Development, and will have significant exposure to the Senior Vice President that leads the area. Your work will directly impact the Senior Management of Hilti.

We work on strategic projects such as M&A opportunities, regional strategies, business unit strategies, impact of industry trends (eg.:digitalization).

What you need is:



  • To be a Masters student pursuing education in business and/or engineer from a top institution

  • Fluency in written and spoken English

  • Proficiency in MS Powerpoint and Excel

  • Strategic mindset and strong problem solving skills

  • Relevant work experience will be considered a plus
