For a newly created key function we need you to join our location in Männedorf

Transport Packaging Engineer / Specialist (80-100%)

What you will do

In this challenging and important role you are responsible for the development of sustainable packaging design and development, e.g. material, technologies, etc. You improve customer experience by damage and waste reduction and increased value perception. You are also responsible for packaging and cost optimization throughout the value chain and coordinate packaging design activities with external partners. 

  

Responsibilities will include

• Provide packaging design input for medical devices


• Provide time and cost estimates together with the Project Leader


• Provide documentation according to standards (like ASTM 4169, ISTA, ISO11137 and subsequent regulations)


• Engage with suppliers to provide the optimal solution for a given packaging


• Execute design reviews


• Lead testing activities to check resistance for the transportation hazards


• Lead Packaging Projects with external suppliers


• Ensuring all standards and regulations relating to packaging and shipping

  

What you bring along

• Technical Degree (University, Technical College or comparable)


• Transport Packaging Education e.g. Certified IoPP or similar


• At least 3-5 Years’ Experience in transport packaging of factory packed pre-engineered custom packages, knowledge of sterilization method/standards is a plus


• Fluency in German and English


• High interpersonal and communication skills and cross-cultural competence


• Well organized
