Why we are recruiting The Centre for the New Economy and Society aims to build dynamic and inclusive economies and systems in a context of accelerated technological and political change. It provides leaders with a platform to understand and anticipate emerging economic and social trends and to adapt policies and practices our rapidly evolving context. It integrates the Forum’s System Initiative on the Future of Economic Progress and the System Initiative on the Future of Education, Gender and Work, and serves as a hub for the most relevant insights and pioneering actions in these domains. This position is an integral component of the centre. 
Reporting lines and interactions The role will be based within the centre’s practice dedicated to developing benchmarking insights. The Insights Lead will report directly to the Head of Benchmarking Practice, and will work closely with other Insights and Project Leads across the centre. 
The successful candidate will be assessed on • Leading the development of flagship reports, particularly the Global Gender Gap Report, the Global Human Capital Report, and the Future of Jobs Report• Collecting, analysing and synthesizing quantitative and qualitative data in support of insight product development• Leading the smooth delivery of services from external providers (data partners, graphic designers, editors, developers and data visualization experts) for final report and product publication• Developing narratives and key messages to integrate into reports and share more widely• Supporting the development of additional insight products in collaboration with other staff in the centre• Working across multiple internal and external teams, including onsite and remote contributors and secondees from partner companies who support the centre’s activities• Developing a strong understanding of the Forum’s mission and regularly monitor relevant global developments in the areas pertinent to global social and economic agendas, and the intersections between them 
Preferred requirements and experience • Advanced university degree in research, data analysis, economics, public policy or other relevant field• 8-10 years of relevant professional experience, ideally across multiple sectors and diverse geographies; research and publishing experience is required• Excellent statistical software skills, with significant experience in programming Stata and R or Python; advanced Excel skills are a must; strong data visualization skills and experience with relevant data visualization tools are a plus• Outstanding skills in data processing and analysis• Excellent project management, attention to detail, written and verbal communication, coordination and collaboration skills; capacity to manage self, and navigate ambiguity• Proven interest in the areas covered by the centre’s mission, especially inclusive economic growth, new social contracts, financial markets, human capital, and a high degree of comfort with interdisciplinary and experimental approaches• Capacity to apply critical thinking, synthesize various viewpoints, consult broadly, work collaboratively in a team and manage both long- and short-term objectives• Outstanding command of written and spoken English; knowledge of other languages would be an asset
