The Senior Director Treasury Control & Reporting reports to the VP Global Treasurer and will be assist with the development and implementation of Alcon’s treasury functions. This person is mainly responsible for maintaining a “state of the art” Treasury Management System (“TMS”), the integrity and valuation of all Treasury positions in the TS and the further development of such and other relevant systems used by the Treasury function In addition, He/she is also responsible for ensuring superior governance and compliance of the existing processes related to Treasury. He/she will also collaborate closely with the Global Treasurer, other global and regional Treasury team members, team members from other Group Finance functions and the supporting IT business partners.
Major Accountabilities
• Responsible for the risk control and compliance of all Treasury activities with internal control requirements and external (SOX, Fin Frag, Dodd Franck) regulation. The scope includes the Group and the Pension Fund.
• Responsible for the periodic reporting of Treasury activities and positions. This includes the reports used to run Operational Treasury and the preparation of reporting to the senior management (e.g., Monthly Treasury report)
• Further developing the Treasury systems from a Business perspective including the definition of requirements, testing, implementation and user training. Evaluating new systems to further enhance the quality, productivity and reliability of the Treasury’s system landscape
• Leading / collaborating on different projects within the Treasury function and with other Group Finance functions (e.g., Group Controlling, Group Tax, Global Credit Management).
• Representing Treasury in company-wide projects, ensuring that
o (i) Treasury requirements are well understood and integrated in the project plans
o (ii) the current level of control is properly integrated in the future processes and systems
• Reviewing and documenting process and information flows and controls in their current state; defining a development and implementation plan for transformation and optimization to their future state; identifying gaps in global processes and defining remediation plans
• Responsible for the yearly preparation of budgets for the Treasury function and the Net Financial Income/Expense at Group level (incl. tracking of actuals vs. budget on a quarterly basis)
• Actively contributing to an effective sharing of knowledge and best practices within the organization

#LI-ALCMinimum requirements The ideal candidate will have:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting or Economics. Charted Accountant, MBA, or Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or Certified Cash Manager (CCM) is a plus.
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
• Minimum of 10 - 15 years of relevant experience in a Finance / Accounting department, preferably in a similar environment (Treasury of a multinational company or bank)
• Ability to work in a complex, multi-cultural, matrix, international environment
• Excellent project management skills with strong analytical and process management experience
• In-depth knowledge of international cash management, risk control and Treasury systems / processes
• Ability and motivation to work both strategically as well as “hand-on”
• Self-driven and autonomous working style
• Able to adapt quick and efficient to new work and market conditions.
• Excellent intercultural skills.
