Project Manager AMR Diagnostics Use Accelerator (2 year contract, Geneva)

FIND is an international non-profit organization based in Geneva, Switzerland, dedicated to
R&D activities to expand and accelerate access to new diagnostic technologies, and to build
global capacity for diagnostic testing for poverty-related diseases in low- and middle-income
countries.


FIND’s vision is a world where diagnosis guides the way to health for all people. The FIND
team is devoted to driving the development, clinical trialing, and early implementation of
innovative diagnostic solutions that can have a high impact on patient care and disease control
in low-resource settings. The diseases we have been working on include tuberculosis, malaria,
sleeping sickness, leishmaniosis, and Chagas diseases. We have expanded our scope to
include acute febrile syndromes, hepatitis C, and neglected diseases mentioned in The London
Declaration of 2012. FIND also plays a key catalytic role to ensure that global laboratory
networks are prepared for the introduction of new technologies. As the Project Manager for the
AMR Diagnostics Use Accelerator, you will be coordinating a complex project under the
supervision of the AMR Diagnostics Use Accelerator Lead and the Director of Emerging
Threats.


Summary: To assist the AMR Diagnostics Use Accelerator Lead and the Director of Emerging
Threats in management of the AMR Diagnostics Use Accelerator



  1. Team management:



  • Coordinate team meetings and participate in monthly Project Management
    meetings (PMM) by collecting needed information in advance from all
    participants.

  • Coordinate budgeting activities across the project and liaise with the
    Programme Manager for Emerging Threats to ensure alignment with reporting
    and budgeting.

  • Coordinate the preparation and tracking of all aspects of the project (Gantt
    charts, milestones, deliverables etc.), follow up with team members as
    necessary.



  1. Grant management:



  • Management of all grant reporting deadlines and renewal dates.

  • Management and planning for all donor updates and reports.

  • Coordinate with the Programme Manager for Emerging Threats to ensure joint
    reporting for internal and external financial metrics



  1. Project management:



  • Support all aspects of the project and coordinate various deliverables
    including scheduling meetings, project reviews, Calls for Partners,
    Expressions of Interest, grant announcements and awards

  • Coordinate with FIND Legal and Contracts to develop and finalize all
    contractual paperwork to ensure awards are delivered on time

  • Coordinate with external partners to support expert committee and scientific
    advisory committee meetings (in-person and teleconference)

  • Maintain high-level overview of all projects and highlight to the AMR
    Diagnostics Use Accelerator Lead and Director of Emerging Threats
    upcoming milestones, overlaps in resource demands and budget impacts.



  1. Other responsibilities as identified from time to time, assist the Programme Leader
    for Emerging Threats with programme oversight and management.

  2. Planned projects –Develop and maintain a database to track status of the projects,
    milestones, budget allocations and resourcing constraints

Knowledge and skill requirements:



  1. MSc. in a health field

  2. Strong project management skills (minimum 4 to 5 years); business administration
    knowledge an asset

  3. Strong Experience working with MS office programs (MS Project and Excel)

  4. Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills;

  5. Team player comfortable working in a multicultural environment

  6. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

  7. High degree of ability to multi-task and oversee complex projects

  8. A team-oriented approach

  9. Fluent in English (verbal and written)

  10. Grant management experience a plus

  11. Knowledge of Clinical Trials a plus.


Location: Geneva, Switzerland
Contract Term: 2year contract (until 2021) at 80-100%
