Business Innovation & IT (BI&IT) is responsible for evolving SAP’s internal IT strategy and executing on it. BI&IT applies SAP’s expertise in technology and business processes and drives the internal adoption of standard applications. The organization supports end-users in the execution and re-engineering of their processes in all lines of business, always putting a strong focus on end-user centricity. The IT Client Services Team consists of the Service Desk, Field (regional IT support), Client Technology Communications, and Client Technology Workplace. The Client Technology Workplace Team is responsible for the end users Windows, Linux, and Virtualized workspaces. They are also responsible for the governance, provisioning, and protection, and continuous innovation on those platforms. As part of the department, the Client Protection Team manages the security portfolio within CTW, has the operational responsibility of the internal Privileged Identity Management/Privileged Account Management (PIM/PAM) platform at SAP, and drives consulting of this services towards SAP lines of business.  The implementation of latest IT technologies is the foundation of our digital transformation.



PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES


The Expert is responsible for the support, operations and continuous improvement of the PIM/PAM solution we deliver to our end users.  As a member of the Service Team, they will work closely with the Architects and Service Owner to ensure rock-solid and smooth operation of SAPs PIM/PAM offerings. They will also ensure we deliver the products to SAP lines of business, ensuring they use and understand the tool and get educated about security topics and by that support SAP to become a 5 Star Security company and maintain that high security maturity. 


 


EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS


As IT Expert, you are the interface between vendor, product and the support teams.  This role includes the following responsibilities:
 



  • Technical Support. Provide 3rd level support for the PIM/PAM solution, products and services. Coordinate vendor ticketing and escalations, making sure, that tickets are submitted and processed in a timely manner.

  • Coordinate.  Ensure communication and coordination with all involved support teams (1st level, 2nd level, Managed Service Provider)

  • SPoC for Clients to use and implement the PIM/PAM solution.

  • Documentation.  Provide operational and support documentation for technical teams as well as end users.

  • Collaboration.  Working with technical teams, community manager, service owner, service architect to ensure the product is utilized to its fullest potential.

  • Engagement.  Work with other service teams to ensure proper integrations between PIM/PAM and the end users use cases/applications.

  • Report.  Work with the team to create Management dashboards to visualize operational metrics and usage of technologies.



EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES



  • Professional education or study in Information Technology or equivalent

  • Professional certification related to Microsoft Server technologies would be beneficial

  • Expert scripting skills (Powershell, VBS)

  • Knowledge of Thycotic products is beneficial

  • Expert on Microsoft SQL Server technologies would be beneficial

  • Hands-on experience with incident management and root -cause-analysis

  • Excellent coordination and organizational skills

  • Team player

  • Advanced communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to demonstrate and influence within groups

  • Business fluency in German and in English is a mandatory. 



WORK EXPERIENCE



  • 3 – 5 years working experience with PIM/PAM solutions in large companies.  Troubleshooting, investigating and having a holistic understanding of IT security topics.

  • Experience of working with global team and different time-zone/culture will be desired.
