EMEA Quality Leader

Honeywell Connected Building is recruiting for an exciting new position! The EMEA Quality Leader strategically lead, direct, and manage all quality management activity and the quality function across Honeywell Building Technologies (HBT) for the SWISSCO EMEA Connected Buildings business with the objective of ensuring that products and processes across the businesses are compliant with internal and external quality standards.


Principal Responsibilities


Quality Strategy and vision



  • Develop, communicate and implement the EMEA Connected Buildings`SWISSCo Quality strategy and vision, ensuring alignment to business strategy, goals and priorities, in order that the businesses are able to excel in quality performance terms.

  • Ensure that employees across the organization fully understand the Quality vision, instilling a mindset in all employees of the importance of Quality in all disciplines of the business, in order that the businesses operate as highly quality focused operations.


Quality Management Systems



  • Develop and implement across the organization the internal quality procedures, policies and processes, and a Quality Management System, in order that quality standards are achieved and adhered to in all areas of the business.


Product Quality Assurance



  • Establish and manage in a coordinated and aligned manner product quality and quality assurance committees. Individual will be working closely with the business Technology and ISC organizations, in order that potential Quality problems are managed and mitigated as much as possible on an ongoing basis, throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Ensure that independent product testing procedures are implemented in order that the level and volume of Quality problems that the customers experience is minimized.


Best Practice



  • Ensure the sharing of Quality best practice across the EMEA Connected Buildings organizations, in order that the business operates and performs in a highly effective manner through building on successes already existing in the organization.

Supervisory Responsibilities



  • Direct Functional responsibility for EMEA Connected Buildings Quality managers .


Geographic Scope & Travel Requirements



  • Based in Rolle, Switzerland.

  • Frequent travel required to EMEA Connected Buildings locations, and all other HBT locations globally.

  • Regular additional overseas travel as required.

EXPERIENCE AND TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:


  • Educated to minimum of degree level in a Technical and/or Business discipline. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years Quality Assurance experience in electronics based products.

  • Knowledge of and experience in working within an ISO9001 framework.

  • In depth knowledge of quality and industrial standards.

  • Knowledge of lean thinking methods and techniques.

  • High level of technical aptitude and understanding, able to understand and work with technical processes and documentation.

  • Proven strong project & program management skills.


BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED


  • In depth quality assurance and manufacturing experience

  • High level of both written and verbal Communication Skills, capable of adapting style and tone according to the situation and audience.

  • high level of influencing skills, capable of influencing in order to obtain information request at short notice.

  • Excellent leadership silks, with demonstrated ability to lead or work with a virtual team.

  • Excellent problem solver, able to use sound analytical and problem solving skills to achieve good results.

  • Solid level of Business Acumen, able to demonstrate a clear understanding of business and market issues both internal and external to Honeywell.

  • Demonstrates a high level of planning & organization skills on a daily basis.

  • Highly Customer Focused approach, demonstrating success through a ‘Voice of the Customer’ approach on a daily basis.

  • Highly self-aware, recognizing the impact of approach and behaviors on peers, direct reports, customers and other internal and external contacts.

  • Demonstration of the Honeywell Behaviors.
