The Basel Branch Roche Diagnostics International, Diabetes Care employs over 100 people and is the head quarter of the business unit Diabetes Care. As a world leading supplier of system solutions for patients with Diabetes, the products provide health information to medical decision makers pivotal for early identification, diagnosis & monitoring. The Intercompany Supply Chain acts as central interface between global sales organizations and suppliers and ensures a smooth process in terms of order and invoice flow.

The position

We are looking for someone who is the key contact for the Supply Chain Operation on one side and for the IT support on the other side. Managing a defined range of customer orders will help understand the specific supply chain processes and system functionality. The 2 main areas can be described as follows:

Incident Management / Application support

• Have an in-depth knowledge and detailed understanding of the processes of the SD/MM modules in SAP and its interdependencies


• Analyze system issues and initiate incidents to IT support


• Support the implementation of systems and processes associated with increasing the effectiveness of the supply chain


• Support system enhancements by planning and by coordinating the testing


• Manage and maintain SAP master data


• Represent the interests of Supply Chain in related projects and IT groups


• Work closely as a dynamic team to continuously learn, improve and grow, offering help to others in the team


• Provide end user training related to system application and changes


• Support onboarding of new team members

Order processing

• Ensure a smooth, timely and accurate order processing in SAP by monitoring iDocs


• Prepare and ensure availability of all relevant documents to customers and logistics providers needed to guarantee a timely shipment


• Communicate daily via email and telephone with all involved partners


• Work alternately on holidays and longer hours at month’s end

What do you need in your toolbox?

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, IT or related disciplines


• Several years’ experience in a similar function with a succeeding approach


• Proficiency knowledge of SAP (SD/MM modules) and good command of MS office software application


• Strong orientation towards actions, solutions and results with a can do mentality


• Well-structured and process-focused thinking


• Good communication skills in English and German (Verbal & Written), with French being a strong asset


• Great teammate (to join an awesome team in an international environment)

The position is based in Basel but the introduction will mainly take place in Rotkreuz in 2018. International relocation support is not available for this position.
