Tasks



  • Defining and owning business and functional requirements of the Deal-Life-Cycle related IT

  • Liaising with key stakeholders along the Deal-Life-Cycle in order to understand business needs and document accordingly from a high conceptual to a very detailed process and task level

  • Writing Business & Functional specifications to provide IT with a clear understanding of the requirements, in order for IT to design and implement technical systems and tools related to Deal-Life-Cycle

  • Ensuring Business & Functional specifications are implemented in line with stakeholder needs, thus ensuring stakeholder satisfaction (fit-for-purpose)

  • Support IT with User Acceptance Testing

  • Elaborating of specifications in close collaboration with Front Office and IT

  • Assist the Processes and DLC team to ensure that the Deal-Life-Cycle processes and RASIC mapping (Roles & Responsibilities) are well documented, updated and maintained whenever new tools are introduced or changes are made to existing tools along the Deal-Life-Cycle (e.g. Workflow Manager)

  • Establish an internal Business Analysis document library and maintain a high standard of Business & Functional documentations

  • Carry out data analysis tasks on business data such as Financial figures, Physical and Financial positions etc.

  • Lead the specification and implementation of reports for different business stakeholders and the team

  • Writing and submitting reports to the Head of Business & functional requirements owner of IT related to Deal-Life-Cycle

  • Implementing concepts and procedures for effective prioritization and development of Deal-Life-Cycle according to business requirements and functional requirements

  • Support Business Projects


Profile



  • University degree (ideally in engineering, business administration, Finance, physics, or mathematics)

  • Excellent understanding of the Origination business

  • 3-5 years of experience as Business Analyst in the Energy Trading Industry

  • Outstanding analytical skills and process improvement focus

  • Solid Data Analysis and reporting experience

  • Programming skills in statistic languages (e.g. R , Python) and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Qlikview)

  • Understanding of the Origination Business is a plus

  • Excellent people skills, great team player

  • Structured and independent way of working

  • Fluency in English is a must, German is a plus

This is a great opportunity to join the newly created Middle Office. The main objective of this role is to take business ownership of the Deal-Life-Cycle (DLC) systems and tools and other front related requirements for effective prioritization and development according to business requirements and functional requirements. The position reports directly to the Head of Business & Functional Requirements related to IT.
