The AO Foundation is a medically guided, not-for-profit organization led by an international group of surgeons specialized in the treatment of trauma and disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Founded in 1958 by 13 visionary surgeons, AO fosters one of the most extensive networks of currently more than 20,000 surgeons, operating room personnel, and scientists in over 100 countries.

AOSpine is an international community of spine surgeons generating, distributing, and exchanging knowledge to advance science and the spine care profession through research, education, and community development. Today, AOSpine has a community of 6,500 members.

 For our office in Dübendorf, we are looking for a highly motivated person to be 


Senior Project Manager AOSpine Congresses


 


This position will support the congress team in the planning and execution of AOSpine's annual Global Spine Congress. In this role, you will be required to:



  • Manage key logistic elements for the congress (including but not limited to venue set up, session room allocation, and set up, etc.) from the beginning of the planning process until the end of the successful execution of the congress

  • Organize all congress related meetings and networking events

  • Perform participant management duties

  • Develop and implement an interaction strategy for members and participants and increase engagement of KOLs, participants, and sponsors

  • Perform sponsorship and exhibition management duties (once agreements have been reached)

  • Develop sponsorship catalogues

  • Set up planning, coordination, and monitoring systems for exhibition floor services implementation

  • Establish sponsorship statistics-gathering and evaluation processes

  • Supervise, coordinate, and work closely with the appointed professional congress organizer (PCO) in his/her areas of responsibility


In order to master this challenge you have



  • Minimum three years of professional experience in congress planning and execution for over 1,000 attendees, and in particular previous experience in international medical scientific congress management

  • Strong project management skills, excellent organizational and coordination skills, the ability to effectively work to tight deadlines, and to manage multiple projects at the same time

  • Experience working with event agencies and other suppliers

  • Experience in congress compliance

  • Excellent skills as a team Player

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, additional languages are a plus
