Jet Aviation as an international company offers numerous possibilities for development and opens reams of professional perspectives.In order to reinforce the Large Aircraft Maintenance team in Basel, we are currently recruiting forTechnician Part 145 - Cabin Mechanic - Large Aircraft (multiple positions)

Overall job purpose is to carry out maintenance tasks on an aircraft in accordance with Jet Aviation procedures, authority regulations and customer requirements, under the instructions of the Leader Cabin Mechanics and Supervisor Aircraft Operations.


 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Removal/installation of all cabin items (seats, carpets, headliners, hard shells, galley, toilet, divans, shelves, etc.)

  • Repairs/adjustments of all cabin items IAW approved MTX data’s

  • Removal/installation of water and Oxygen systems or components

  • Work according to the processes and defined project plan(s) in an accurate and timely manner to ensure the quality, performance and agreed targets and milestones are respected

  • Ensure that any defect found on the aircraft is reported to the Team Leader Aircraft Operations and transferred to the Jet Aviation working documentation

  • When workload requires assist in other work tasks to ensure the department’s goals are met

  • Keeps his/her work area clean

  • Support continues improvement actions

  • Demonstrate capability to learn other disciplines and skills

Minimum Qualification/Experience:

  • Technical certificate/education/apprenticeship is required

  • Two to three years’ experience as Cabin Mechanic or in an equivalent working environment 

  • Mechanical/technical knowledge within the aviation industry

  • Able to read and understand Aircraft Maintenance Manuals and project plans

  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings(at least basic) knowledge of aircraft maintenance is desirable

  • Good knowledge in MS-Office, knowledge in SAP is beneficial

  • Fluent in English; German and/or French is a plus
