Senior Software QA Engineer and Teamleader

Our QA department is looking for a highly self-motivated individual with strong QA fundamentals and prior programming or automation experience. You will test, break, automation and solve to improve projects and products that are generating millions of Swiss Francs revenue per day. So, it’s mission critical, for sure. Key Qualifications

• Expert in developing test strategies, architecting test frameworks and tools


• Experience in Java/Java script/python or any other scripting languages (e.g., Perl)


• Knowledge of JSON, XML, Client/Server architecture


• Excellent knowledge of software development lifecycle, test methodologies and tools and, passion for quality processes


• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills


• Able to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced environment


• Act as a strong advocate for quality in the product development process for software engineering


• Ability to triage problems, prioritize accordingly, and propose a resolution


• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and demanding dynamic
  environment with a passion for quality and phenomenal attention to detail


• Excellent oral and written English communication skills (knowledge in the German language is a plus)

Description

As the Senior Software Quality Engineer and team leader, you will be responsible for qualifying and automating e-commerce applications mainly based on SAP hybris, Broadleaf, and mobile. Experience with testing of client-server interactions should also be a core area of experience as well as the ability to access and interpret system and application level logs. This position requires a strong individual contributor that can work on projects independently and collaborate with various cross-functional teams, software engineers, and management.

• Defining test coverage, developing test plans, creating and maintaining test cases, executing functional and performance tests, evaluating and reporting quality of existing technologies and new features


• Developing automation test scripts, running tests, analyzing test results and maintaining them


• Debugging/troubleshooting issues and driving them to resolution


• Should be detail oriented and a self-motivated problem solver. Passionate about e-sphere and delivering the best user experience to our customers

Education

Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
