For our group Engineering Process Equipment within the Business Unit Separation Technology in Winterthur/Switzerland (Zurich area), we are hiring a

3D CAD Plant Designer (m/f)

Your Job

• Responsible for activities related to Plant Engineering


• Create process flow charts and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams for chemical and food applications


• Create concept and feasibility studies for our chemical pants and skid units


• Prepare cost calculations for the sales department


• Prepare piping specifications related to projects


• Create detailed plant designs and piping isometrics


• Coordinate with stakeholders from related departments and the responsible project manager


• Ensure that deliverables are in line with required quality and deadlines


• Coordinate and collaborate with the Engineering teams in Allschwil and India

Your Profile

You have a completed technical education, ideally in mechanical or process engineering or and equivalent education, and several years of experience in plant engineering for applications in chemistry, pharma or oil and gas industry. You are experienced with 3D CAD systems with good IT and MS Office know-how.

You are used to work independently and are team- and customer oriented. You communication and organizational skills build excellent fundamentals for this versatile role. Moreover, you have a good power of imagination and feel comfortable to work in interdisciplinary teams and projects. In addition, you are fluent in English. Good German skills are a big advantage, any other European language is welcome.
