Job description

As Branch Manager (m/f), our Lausanne site offers you a diverse area of ​​responsibility including all the facets that a global freight forwarding and logistics service provider has to offer. You are responsible for the personnel and financial leadership of our Lausanne branch and you are in daily contact with our customers.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Actively participate in the implementation of the organization’s strategy for the efficient movement of freight and the effective management of People


• Manage all aspects of the Lausanne Branch operations


• Business promotion and development of new business


• Actively review operational procedures, identifying opportunities for improvement and promoting continuous improvement within the team


• Develop office business plans, strategies, control budgets, and overall responsibility for branch profit centres for the Lausanne Branch


• Take ownership of projects and personally ensure they are managed professionally and are delivered within agreed deadlines

Your skills and experience

• Many years of experience in the Freight Forwarding / Logistics / Transportation industry required, including experience with international freight operations (Seafreight, Airfreight and Overland)


• Managerial experience required including experience supervising a Team


• Strong leadership ability required, including experience motivating staff and driving performance improvements


• Profound knowledge of the (local) market


• Proven ability to work successfully under pressure required, including strong negotiation, problem solving and analytical skills


• High command of French (preferred mother tongue), English and German skills
