For our Finance team in Allschwil/Basel we are looking for a




Junior Accountant Distribution Finance



This role of a Junior Accountant is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of internal documentation to enable our accounts receivable clerks to raise invoices towards our clients. In addition the candidate supports the accounts receivable department in preparing invoices as well.



The skill set of an ideal candidate encompasses excellent self-organisation regarding timelines and work load, the ability to understand complex processes and to familiarize himself / herself with various applications in a fast paced environment completed by a high level of attention to detail.



Your tasks:

  • Consolidate data and generate invoicing documentation

  • Prepare monthly KPIs and generate reports explaining business activity

  • Process adhoc requests

  • Cooperate with project managers to process customer requests.

  • Full cycle invoicing – generating, booking, sending and reconciling

  • Manage the timely, accurate monthly closing for accounts receivable tasks and records

  • Assemble financial information for auditing

  • Assist in reconciling ledgers, reports and accounting records

  • Analyze, post activity and assist in reconciliation for intercompany accounts through active coordination with the sister sites

  • Investigate and resolve customer queries

  • Perform ad hoc analysis as necessary as well monitor AR-related KPIs

  • Participate in projects and develop process/system improvements that increase efficiency and effectiveness

Your profile:

  • Commercial Education Background (KV) with 1-3 years accounts receivable/general accounting experience in an international environment

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office especially MS Excel

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work with diverse groups of people

  • Strong administrative and organizational skills

  • Fluency in German and English, both spoken and written

  • Willingness to work extended hours during month end closes

  • Proven team working ability
