MES Engineer

Your responsability:

• Execution and lead of CAPEX cross functional projects.


• Execution and supervision for MES application programming activities, testing and documentation.


• Execution and maintaining activities for our « Digitalization Roadmap ».


• Supportive activities for: BIOG-model, SDC production system, MES environments.


• In charge of investigations, CAPA implementation (technically and documentary) within our change control system.


• In charge for the documentary lifecycle for all technical and project activities within our electronic document management system.


• Responsible that all activities are done on accordance with the GMP and UCB internal safety and quality rules


• Participating to all continuous improvement activities, be able to propose agile and high qualitative propositions.


• Execution of FAT, commissioning, SAT and qualification activities.


• Be part of the 24/24 7/7 365/365 support service (Piquet) in accordance with the annual availability plan for automation resources.


• Participation to internal and external audits (direct defender or supportive SME)


• Active participation to the HSE policy deployment.

About you:

For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

• Education: Bachelor, Master or Engineer.


• Knowledge of biotech, pharma and/or chemical production processes.


• Good ISA-88, ISA-95 knowledge.


• Experience in interfacing DCS / MES systems (Syncade and or Simatic-EBR / XFP knowledge is a real plus).


• Technical system knowledge for MES, DCS or SCADA (Recipe authoring) IT Infra, communication between MES – DCS – LIMS – SAP (mastering OPC, WebService is a real plus).


• SQL / Oracle request scripting.


• dotNET / VB script / VBA programming.


• Intermediate experience in project management.


• Knowledge of validation/verification rules applied to IT/Automation systems based on GAMP or ASTM E2500. Good knowledge about GMP requirements.


• Expertise in technical analysis and troubleshooting.


• Work accurately and rigorously.


• Analyze the requirements and being able to formalize and implement the optimal solution.


• Manage priorities, participate in the prioritization of actions in the interests of production.


• Manage tasks and situations autonomously with proactive and agile behavior.


• Adapt his style of communication and leadership to his interlocutor.


• Communicate in an appropriate and positive manner.


• Languages: French (Native/Professional Proficiency), English (Native/Professional Proficiency).
