The Future ERP Roadmap is a multi-year program which aims at defining and developing the functional ERP roadmaps in order to simplify, standardize and automate business processes and systems leveraging SAP’s, industry and available Roche best practices.

As the Future ERP Master Data Management IT Lead you are responsible for driving alignment of Master Data requirements between functional teams for the Future ERP Roadmap program and for developing and implementing the ERP Master Data Management solutions.

This role reports to the Future ERP Global Functional Solution Delivery Head.

Your primary responsibilities include:

• Define, design, build and oversee the implementation of ERP functional solutions for Master Data Management globally. Ensure the solution fits to the Roche Master Data requirements and the end to end processes including systems, interfaces and platforms and ensure validated (CSV) system implementation with the technology platform teams


• Coach and advise the functional workstreams through data quality procedures to ensure data is complete, accurate, and timely


• Define Master Data Management principles and approach in line with Roche policies and standards and adopting current industry best practices. Define Master Data Governance together with Business Owners and program key stakeholders


• Oversee delivery of solutions are consistent and compatible from a Master Data perspective across the Future ERP initiative and in alignment with the functional teams (Finance, Planning, Manufacturing, Quality and Commercial and others) and IT teams


• Provide leadership and guidance to the Master Data Management functional team and partner actively with the business stream lead and members. Collaborate with the program and business teams to ensure continuous business and IT alignment


• Ensure the smooth delivery and transition across program phases from as-is to the to-be MDM landscape, systems and processes, from initiation through requirements, design, build and rollout and a smooth handover to the support and operations teams


• Work closely with PMO to define and execute effective project governance, management and timely reporting of progress on activities and work packages according to the program plan and milestones for the Master Data Management workstream

You bring the following qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience managing master data organizations in the Pharma industry, delivering SAP ERP solutions in transformational projects


• 10+ years of hands on experience in delivering MDM solutions and systems, preferably in Pharma/healthcare industry with excellent business process knowledge in Master Data Management


• Good knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA desirable


• Experience managing master data organizations


• Ability to develop and implement data governance and standards


• Ability to quickly develop an understanding of the current master data environment (including systems, policies, processes, and procedures)


• Excellent leadership, management and interpersonal skills in large multi-national enterprise as well as experience in delivering projects using Roche project management methodology (PMM) or equivalent


• C-level fluency in English and preferably conversational German
