Analysis Engineer – Stress and Fatigue


Your responsibilities



  • Analysis and development of new structures and assemblies by means of FEM and hand calculations.

  • Optimization of existing structures and assemblies with focus on powertrains (gearboxes & transmission shafts).

  • Documentation of certification relevant analyses for static, fatigue and damage tolerant substantiation of metallic structures.

  • Validation of finite element analysis.

  • Definition of prototype and certification tests

  • Task management and planning of calculation activities for a helicopter sub-system

  • Time-effective coordination of static and fatigue substantiation activities with other departments (Testing, Flight physics, Materials and processes) and as well as externals partners

  • Proactive and autonomous development of creative solutions to challenging technical problems

  • Ensure information flow, responsible for cross-information and information in team

Your qualifications



  • Master Degree (ETH/TU) in the field of aerospace, mechanical, structural engineering or similar

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in static and fatigue analysis in Aerospace or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Rotorcraft experience is preferred

  • Significant experience with powertrains (gearboxes & transmission shafts) is highly preferred

  • FEM experience in the simulation of large assemblies, ideally rotating structures

  • Profound knowledge of ANSYS is of advantage

  • Knowledge of NX is of advantage

  • Good English knowledge (spoken and written)

  • Ability to plan, manage and lead projects

  • Ability to encourage and motivate coworkers

  • Team spirit and motivation
