The Senior Market Steering Expert initiates sales activities in Market Switzerland based on the analysis and evaluation of market specific-data. She/he identifies opportunities and risks by applying business and market intelligence to exploit relevant revenue potentials. She/he links multiple data sources and reports to gain (pro-active) valuable insights on a regular and ad-hoc basis for key stakeholders. She/he is in the lead for the processes of Revenue Forecasting, Sales Reporting and Sales Steering for Lufthansa Group and JV partners. Where applicable, she/he also coordinates/challenges Revenue Management topics and works closely with Account Steering, Account Management and PPM (Product and Program Management)
Your Duties
Systematically analyse and interpret past and future airline and market key performance indicators
Regularly analyse and monitor market, competition and LH Group and JV performance for all segments, corporates, channels etc.
Initiate and evaluate implemented and planned sales actions in close cooperation with local sales units
Manage revenue forecast in cooperation with local account steering
Develop, provide and present high quality performance and outlook management reporting
Identify, prioritise and present size and monetary value of untapped market potentials and most important traffic flows in order to reveal incremental business opportunities and to maximise revenue generation
Monitor, ascertain and advise on competitive environment, particularly in terms of network/capacity development and local pricing activities
Represent Sales' interests and requirements in Revenue Management related topics such as pricing, steering and demand forecast
Perform project work related to network planning topics such as new routes/frequencies, capacity deployment, flight schedules and alliance/partner deals
Derive Unique Selling Propositions (USPs) for all LHG partner carriers and steer, support and challenge the local sales organisation
Work independently on own projects that help developing the business and present findings
Requirements
Academic degree in economics, business administration or aviation related subject
Strong analytical, qualitative and conceptual skills
Interest in manipulating and analysing data from a range of data sources
Competencies at writing and illustrating analyses and reports
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Business acumen and result driven
Ability to work under pressure to set priorities and meet deadlines
Self-starter with an affinity for numbers, an eye for detail and a high degree of responsibility, reliability and commitment
Professional experience:Business Analysis/Development, Revenue Management/Pricing, Airline Planning, Finance/Controlling and/or Sales/Distribution in airline/tourism environment
Fluent knowledge of German and English
