Overall job purpose is to support the Upholstery Shop team in order to meet their objectives, in accordance with the applicable Jet Aviation Basel procedures, Aviation Regulations and customer requirements. Perform minor and major repairs on aircraft soft materials (seats, divan,...) by following JBSL procedures without supervision
Description/Tasks:
Strip, clean and recover soft goods such as headliners, panels (windows, dado, …), etc.
Cut, sew and install covers for seats and/or divans using templates, drawings and/or sketches/renderings
Build up foam parts using templates, drawings and/or sketches/renderings
Create templates for seat covers and/or foam parts and for carpets as well based on parts, drawings and/or sketches/renderings
Train and instruct team members from the Upholstery Shop
Be able to cut, adjust and fit/install a carpet with/without (extraordinary) pattern into the aircraft cabin
Report work status, non-conformities, damages and other issues as may be defined to the responsible supervisor
