Product Technology Manager, Product and Tools Operations, Google Technical Services

The Google Technical Services Product and Tools Operations team maintains the close relationships with the Engineering and Product partners necessary to develop and improve Google’s products and internal tools. We are champions of the customer experience, advocating for feature requests and offering product improvements backed by data-driven insights. Our work enables Google Technical Services teams to deliver delightful support to Google’s millions of customers.


As a Product Technology Manager, you will be the interface between the Technical Support, Consulting teams and other stakeholders, such as Product Management, Engineering and Global Sales. From design and conceptualization through to early piloting and wide-scale deployment, you will oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google online advertising, analytics and platform products. You will work on developing product and technical strategy as well as prioritize projects and resources that assist our account management teams and partners. You're able to balance business and customer needs with technical constraints.

Our team cares for customers by solving problems and scaling solutions, incubating new Google products, and sharing user feedback with internal teams to influence product development. We support a wide variety of products, from Ads to Project Fi and just about everything in between, and our customers include advertisers, consumers, partners, publishers, retailers, and our own Sales Googlers.


Responsibilities


  • Improve product feature offerings by providing user feedback to internal cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Engineering and Sales teams.

  • Design effective launch programs to ensure that new products and feature releases are usable and serviceable before broad-scale deployment.

  • Ensure the prompt and proper resolution of technical challenges, own product bug escalation, triage and prioritization and manage necessary communications for critical bugs.

  • Guarantee the technical aspects of advertiser and publisher integrations by providing necessary documentation and guidance.

  • Identify, drive and optimize growth flow from new business opportunities by leveraging Google technologies.


Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience working with internet technologies, such as SQL, HTTP, JavaScript, HTML, Cookies, XML, etc.

  • Experience in Product Management, Product Commercialization, Program Management, or Sales Strategy and Operations.

  • Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C/C++ or Python.


Preferred qualifications:



  • MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

  • Knowledge of publisher, advertising market and/or online ads landscape.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams and stakeholders; excellent relationship building, collaboration, consultation and influencing skills.

  • Effective analysis skills, with the ability to pull data from various sources and provide insights on that data.

  • Aptitude for technical design, with the ability to pick up technical concepts quickly and learn when it is appropriate to apply them.
