Activities

The offered position is within the R&D Department.

The Technology Engineer works on the development of innovative technologies such as processes and key equipment items for Casale business areas.

The main duties and responsibilities are:

• Scouting, screening and selection of innovative technologies for processes and equipment items;

• Development of innovative processes and chemical engineering equipment items through process simulation, design and validation e.g. in lab- and pilot-scale plants;

• Involvement with/management of/ external research collaborations e.g. partner companies, academic institutions and research centers.

Education

The successful candidate has:

• M.S. in Chemical Engineering;

• PhD in chemical/process engineering is preferred.

Languages

•  Very fluent written and spoken english.

Skills

• Good team-player, ability to build relationships inside and outside the company, self-motivated with strong organizing skills and high degree of autonomy;

• Ambition to innovate, positive attitude;

• Willingness to lead projects on advanced research involving external partners such as other companies and research institutions.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years’ research or engineering experience in chemical/process industry;

•  Experience in one of the following areas is preferred:

- Advanced separation systems (e.g. based on adsorption or membrane)

- Advanced catalytic reactor system design

- Control of environmental emissions (e.g. carbon capture)

- Energy efficiency in process design

• Experience in open innovation and management of external research projects is preferred.
