As a Senior Specialist , your main responsibility will be to work closely with Product Development, Procurement, PTC and Regulatory teams to develop ingredients to ensure optimised product performance and cost aligned to the innovation and renovation pipeline while ensuring compliance to Regulations and Nestle Standards. Key responsibilities
Work with Procurement to develop back-up ingredients and/or alternative suppliers
Build coherent material specifications in line with Market reality, focusing on sustainable materials.
Ensure that each ingredient used in formulations meets internal and external Food Safety requirements and protects Company image
Perform technical audits at supplier sites in collaboration with approved quality auditors
Ensure that projected function(s) of ingredients and species comply to the European Regulations
Set-up and lead action plans resulting from changes in ingredient Regulations (e.g feed materials and/or additives), to ensure continuous compliance of the products
Contribute to formula cost optimization through development of alternative and/or new ingredients/suppliers while maintaining existing relevant product claims
Ensure the technical development of new ingredients to support Innovation and Renovation initiatives (e.g new claims etc..)
Required Profile
Master degree and/or PhD in Food/Feed Science or related discipline
Experience Quality, Research & Development , Product development , Technical procurement
Min 3-5 years’ experience in Operations or in Procurement
Min 3-5 years’ experience in product or ingredient Research & Development and/or product technology
Fluent in English
