Role Purpose:
The Infrastructure Manager works alongside the IT Operations Centre, service desk, security, development, and project managers to deliver IT stable and resilient services to the organization.
The role owner creates teams of engaged engineers, and supports with active coaching. He or she is a great people motivator and drives the technology roadmap of Private Banking Services (PBS).
The Head IT Infrastructure must regularly communicate activities of the teams and how their work relates to the success of the organisation.
Key Accountabilities (Mission):
The Head IT Infrastructure leads the department with 3-5 teams of c.30 engineers and oversees the functional areas: Security and Network management, Servers and Datacentres, Windows and Unix Engineering, Database Management and Identity and Access Management.

Management Skills – excellent people skills, helps others to succeed. Entrepreneurial and pragmatic, can-do mentality. Customer service and goal oriented, aim to deliver high quality and time to market. Able to effortlessly switch between the role of a Manager and the role of an Engineer, and rather work overtime than allow a detail to go overlooked.
Strategy – The Infrastructure Manager must be aware of the strategic direction of the organisation as well as new technologies on the horizon. Experience of delivering a roadmap and strategies, working closely with 3rd parties – assurance of their output and managing their performance.
Extensive Technical Knowledge – intimately familiar with technologies such as Microsoft, Active Directory, Cisco and VMware, RH Linux, HDS and experience with storage area networks, WAN acceleration, virtualization, firewalls, routers and more.
Certifications – such as TOGAF, Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer or related certifications.
Communication Skills – Stellar communication skills are necessary to strategise, plan and collaborate with both higher- and lower-level colleagues.
