Function developer for engine control


Responsibilities



  • Responsible for engine control software development and maintenance

  • Work on the state-of-art marine engine control development including:

    • Requirements breakdown

    • Robust function development and software design

    • Software package preparation

    • Testing of the control and diagnostic software by simulation as well as on test rig (incl. Hardware-in-the-loop)

    • Preparation and participation on engine test bed and/or field testing

    • Documentation for each development step


  • Insure software quality and maintainability

  • Communicate with engine experts from other disciplines in R&D organization


Requirements



  • MSc or Dipl.-Ing. electrical/mechanical/automation engineering, or equivalent

  • Proven experience (at least 5 years / several years) in

    • Combustion engine control and diagnostic (preferably on large 2-stroke engines)

    • Software development

    • Matlab/Simulink




  • Comprehension of mechanical, hydraulic and thermodynamic systems

  • Systematic approach and problem solving oriented

  • Good communication and cooperation skills

  • Pragmatic, flexible and continuous improvement attitude

  • Ready to travel for (field) testing and commissioning support up to 6 weeks per year

  • Proficiency in English (German is a plus)
