MaxWell Biosystems is an electronics-focused biotech company, developing and selling advanced cell imaging
platforms helping our customers in the pharmaceutical industry and in academia to make their drug discovery
and research more efficient. We are a young ETH Spin-off company, seeking highly motivated and talented indi-
viduals who want to contribute in shaping the future of drug discovery.

R&D Engineer Intern

(5-12 months)
The core of our technology is a bio-sensor made out of a custom designed integrated circuit (ASIC) chip. The
technology is used in drug discovery and to investigate brain cells at unprecedented detail and spatial-temporal
resolution. Our first product was launched already two years ago and is successfully in use with many customers.
We are now developing our next line of product, integrating multiples of our bio-sensor chips into a single readout
plate. Thus, providing much higher throughput for our customers and accelerating their drug discovery process.
The internship project potentially involves a broad variety of tasks and challenges. Ranging from mechanical de-
signing of the readout plate to testing electrical readout circuits and collaborating with hardware suppliers but
also visual designers. We are seeking a highly motivated engineer to implement and work on some of these chal-
lenging tasks.
