Senior Engineer (f/m) 100%Zürich-OerlikonDuties and responsibilities:

• Provide application-level support for the Amdocs OSS 9 platform (Cramer)


• Main player in the cooperation between OSS and IT Operations


• Fully administer the Amdocs OSS 9 application on the development and test instances. Interface between external partner infrastructure teams for UNIX, VM, Oracle and internal development teams. Track and realize requests from internal development/project teams, dispatching to and tracking the external partner infrastructure teams, as needed


• Interface with the external partner OSS support team for the support of the production Amdocs OSS 9 application instance


• Support the internal development teams for release preparation, test and development machine allocation and maintenance. Support the external partner OSS support team for the releases to production


• Help evolve the relevant processes and tools and manage projects related to Planning and Engineering Systems such as Life Cycle Management for the related systems/platforms


• Monitor and analyze platforms enhancements/expansions and monitor and analyze core OSS platform defects and follow up resolution with software vendor(s)


• Design, plan and implement solutions for new requirements and initial system configurations

Qualifications:

• Degree in IT or related field

• UNIX knowledge: basic administration, tool knowledge (e.g., grep, sed, etc.), scripting


• Oracle DB knowledge: basic administration, SQL and PL/SQL, oracle scheduler concepts


• JEE knowledge: basic concepts and administration knowledge, Oracle Weblogic administration knowledge, JMS concepts and administration


• Amdocs OSS (Cramer) platform architecture, components, concepts:
  
  
  
  • 3-tier component architecture
  
  
  • Resource Manager Core services (Wizards, Homepages, etc.)
  
  
  • Cramer modules: TE, DE, AUA, SFA
  
  
  • Cramer Database schema basic concepts, Core tables
  
  


• Knowledge of the Cramer object model, knowledge of the Cramer GUI and user operations as well as automated processes (involving TE, DE, etc.), capability to troubleshoot fallout cases


• Cramer deployment concepts and tools, for all modules


• Excellent communication skills English, German is a plus


• Capability to work with internal and external partners and stakeholders


• Teamplayer, hands-on and can-do mentality
