R&D Project Manager - Optical Components

Reporting Line: VP R&D

Your Opportunity: Together with our engineering and operations team,
you will bring our unique optical technology into high-volume products.
 

Your main responsibilities:



  • Lead complex product development and customization projects in close collaboration with product marketing and development team or customers

  • Plan, coordinate and drive forward innovative products and solutions

  • Evaluate and select suitable manufacturing processes to achieve most cost efficient solution

  • Report to customers and company management regarding project progress and milestones



  • Drive project from feasibility to mass production

  • Manage the critical path of the project and key project risks, make sure that deadlines are achieved and decisions are made when needed


Qualifications:



  • Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, process engineering, physics or related fields (preferably MSc/PhD)

  • Experience in project leadership with international teams

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically when planning, managing teams, and managing products

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ready to travel

  • Good knowledge of English and basic German
