About this role Syngenta is hiring a People & Organization Development Lead for our center of excellence (CoE) team in Basel. Specifically, this CoE focuses on Change and Organizational Effectiveness and supports the translation of our business priorities into specific change and organization effectiveness activities. You will work with human resources business partners (HRBP), senior leaders and leadership teams to improve individual and team effectiveness; and lead the design, development and implementation of transformation and change, and organization effectiveness projects.
Role purpose
Identify, design and deliver focused organizational development interventions aimed at improving enterprise-wide, functional or region leadership and team effectiveness
Support and enable the Transformation & Change management community and capability development across the organization, leveraging the Syngenta Change Approach centered on Change First’s PCI (People Centered Implementation) method
Support the ongoing capability development around the Syngenta Organizational Design method
Focus on the improvement of the employee experience through the design and delivery of our enterprise pulse survey efforts
Accountabilities
Partner with HRBPs and leadership, to diagnose organizational effectiveness issues and recommend appropriate actions.
Lead and collaborate with others on the continuous improvement and embedding of our Backbone.
Support the effective delivery of People and Organization Development priorities across the CoE areas of expertise.
Develop and execute plans for change and transformational agility across the organization, including support of the Syngenta Change method capability build
Bring in external thinking and advances in relevant People and Organizational Development specialist areas – e.g. employee experience, culture and behavior change, change management, organizational effectiveness – to explore and recommend how they might be adopted in Syngenta.
Qualifications
The requirements are focused on the broader category of Organizational Development, which could in include, but not limited to; change management, leadership development, talent, organizational design, learning and culture.
Undergraduate degree in relevant field preferred (Business, Organization Development, HR Management)
Master’s Degree in Organization Development strongly preferred.
12 years minimum of focused on organization development experience, preferably including significant experience in matrixed, multinational organizations.
Skilled and experienced in leading cultural change and transformation and ability to influence all people involved and affected by the transformation
Demonstrated understanding of P&L business operations, long-term focus, ability to conduct deep needs analysis, demonstrated strategic thinking.
